From 2003 through 2006, FOHVAMP teamed with CrimeStoppers, local law enforcement and Project Safe Neighborhoods (PSN) through the U.S. Attorney for Colorado to put up eleven billboards in several jurisdictions for 14 victims of unsolved murders.

We hired a publicist, gathered media, victims families and law enforcement for each billboard launch and received excellent media coverage which, in turn, gave us great credibility with all of the above. It was our intention to drive leads about these cold cases to LE.

The only thing our PSN grant didn't pay for was the rewards. The rewards came from the families and ranged from $2,500 (from CrimeStoppers) for an Hispanic family to $100,000 from a developer who lost a son. The latter was a record reward for Colorado at the time.
